Hmmmm

Okay, first off...Not sure what everyone was complaining about. I found the game rather easy, completed it on my second try. Controls weren't great, yes thats true, and for the most part, all you have to do is hold down A continuously. I'm going to compliment the game on its graphics, nice and simple, a fun, artistic - the games a no-brainer and good few a twenty minute session. But it was far too short! You could have done alot more with it, two bosses who were probobly the easiest part of the whole game - needed more, needed more everthing i feel. Anyone, a good job, despite what everyone else says, I enjoyed it while it lasted.

Awesome!

Simple, fun, very addicting...My official Highscore is 12000 and something

Dan Paladin Delivers again!

Though the game is a simple beat 'em up in the vein of Final Fight, its certainly enjoyable. The artwork is great, very Alien Hominid Esq. Its short, but then again, its only a flashgame and it will certainly entertain you for the time it offers. The final boss is a little uninspired and the gameplay is repetitive - but I won't mark too harshly.

Short. Sweet.

A beautifully rendered game, perhaps the single most artistic in all of Newgrounds except perhaps Gretel and Hansel. My first thought upon completion was (strangely enough) Bioshock: I shall tell you why. The story and characters were spot on, in particular that of The Devil. The atmosphere and tone (dark, yet delicate) was perfect. But, in my opinion, Bioshock's gameplay was dull and rather repetitive - however the great storyline and characters really made up for that, just as they do in Loondon. My two biggest problems with the game was: firstly, the fact that you really don't do anything for yourself, there's no real challenge to it, you just click whatever lights up so there is no real challenge for the player; secondly, and perhaps the most frustrating, is the fact that you are presented with such wonderful characters that never really flourish and its a shame because every person I met throughout the game I took an interest in straight away. For example: early in the game you meet a cruel hunter who is chasing a wolfman (were-wolf). Here we are presented with two very interesting characters....Who's role in the story have almost no significance and screentime of about twenty seconds. I know it takes alot of effort to create a game - believe me I do! But really it just seems rushed. If the programmers had taken just a little longer on the game, woven a little more into the story, I think I would easily bump my rating up to 9 STARS - maybe even 10. In conclusion, Loondon is a brilliant game and really worth a try, if just for the story. If there was a sequel would I play it? Certainly. Perhaps we could even have a closer look at the characters I quickly learnt to love and quickly lost.

Superb

I am a great lover of Grimm Fairytales and I truly belive the Brothers would be proud of this game. The Artwork is fantastic: completely original - the characters interesting; you really find yourself attached to Hansel and Gretel and quickly learn to despise the stepmother - as well you should! The gameplay is what you'd expect from a good point and click puzzle game and its atmospheric - the death sequences in particular had me squirming in my seat at the sounds of crunches and splatters. The game is short but well lived. I am close to saying this is my favourite game on Newgrounds. Many thanks to Makopudding, you've done an excellent job here and come up with a game in a league of its own. 10/10. I eagerly anticipate a sequel.

Hard, but very promising

Clearly heavily influenced by Paladin and Fulp's Castle Crashers (this is by no means a bad thing, on the contrary, I am attached to the game very quickly by bias!), I'll start by saying THIS GAME IS HARD. Very hard infact, so don't expect to complete the game first time unless your a pro - which, sadly, I am not. The artwork is fun and colourful and although the characters controls are rather dull and repetitive, I enjoyed seeing new characters, especially the bosses which were always interesting in their own way. I played through twice, and on both ocasions found myself facing the robotic-red-boss of the third stage. After realising I'd have to start again for a third time, I left it alone. The game is likable, but not enough for replayability - its too damn repetitive for that. It is worth a couple of plays, but I'm sure you'll find yourself quickly losing interest.

Very Good

It feels almost like a 2D God of War Boss Battle, in particular the battle with the Colossus at the begining of the 2nd game in how the Clown throws you around the map. You actually find yourself counting down the life points, the game really makes you want to kill the damn clown! Characters are interesting, art is fantastic, but then what can you expect from Tom Fulp? The man who gave us Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid - probobly two of my favourite games JUST for the terrific artwork. This is a nice, simple game you can enjoy and not take to seriously, I mean, come on, the title says it all - its MADNESS!
